My 58 BelAir hasn't been driven for 10 years & it's time to get it running again. I drained my fuel tank of 10 yr old fuel and put fresh gas in. Using a siphon, I was able to pull fuel up to the fuel pump inlet. Cranking the engine, I'm not getting fuel out of the pump. Holding my finger on the outlet port, I only felt a slight push of air. I was expecting a big push of fuel or air. Is my stock pump fubar? I didn't see a rebuild kit at the local parts store.

I would say the pump is shot. The auto parts store can get you a new replacement one for about $50

I agree with the above but would first blow back through the gas line and listen (with the gas cap off) for bubbling noise in the tank.

$54.99 at the parts store here I come! I can do the blow back thing, but I'm not sure what the point would be?

Blow back verifies that the fuel line between gas tank and fuel pump is open. That does not guarantee it will remain open if there is crud in the tank that can plug the pickup tube.
