I was hoping that the service agreement might help in identifying the year that the lubrometer was introduced.
I have attached more detail that should better highlight what I am referring to. I'm not sure if the 29 after lithographed in the U.S.A. indicates 1929 or if anyone knows what the letters and numbers mean and the artwork for the Chevrolets on the dealers service agreement appear to relate to 1930, wire wheels and a four spoke steering wheel would indicate 1930.

Ok Guys, I'll make up some of both kinds and let you know when they're done. I'm in the middle of some things but shouldn't take me that long of time to get them done. I'll send them out for Christmas presents! LOL

Just a FYI, the Lub meter does not fit on a 34 dash, or at least the one that I restored for my 34 would not work. There maybe 2 different brackets if it was used in 34.

Michael's copy of the Service Agreement is now available in the Member's area (Technical Information). As he said, it appears to be from late 1929 targeted for the 1930 model year. If that's the case, then 1930 and 1931 should be acceptable years for this item (Not just 1932. Hint hint).

These are very good scanned copies and you can easily blow the image up large enough to see the etchings quite clearly.

Thanks to Michael F (from Australia) for adding to our library. thanku

PS. You can thank him in person at the Tahoe Meet!!

Great news. I have one for my 1930 that I am going to use just because I think it is a cool accessory but now that we see that it is correct it's even better.
