I'm jumping in kinda late here, but here's my contribution.
I owned an auto parts store from 1981-86. We had a full service machine shop with an experienced and cantankerous machinist. He NEVER bored cylinders before he had the new pistons in hand. He always measured the pistons before boring so that he could make needed adjustment to the bore size to suit any oddities in piston size.
I don't recall ever having a warranty claim related to this (or any other, for that matter) issue.
I have some old stock aluminum pistons. I don't remember the size. Would anyone like me to measure them?

Thanks again for all input.

I sent an email to Kanter.com
If I buy a set of pistons from them to my 34 Master, I will get pistons made by "Rebuilders choise".
www.rebuilderschoice.com
Does anyone have experience with pistons from this company?
Better reputation than "Egge"?

Thanks

If you search on the internet you will find that they have the same address as Kanter and are associated with Packard Industries also of the same address. I would give them a call and ask who MANUFACTURES the pistons for their kits. I bought my overhaul kit from them for my 32 15 years ago and it had Egge pistons.
