Mr. Mack: I have had a 1950 Chevy Special 2 Dr. for many years 14 to be exact. I have always been interested in the sticker that is attached to the back of the interior rear view mirror. I removed the mirror from the center post today to try and read what was on it, this is what I was able to read. CHEVROLET ??CKEY Chicago, Ill Spring 7-2000 Registered Customer Mr. Mack is there a listing of Chevrolet dealers in the Chicago area from back in the fifties? I am trying to figure out what the first letter or two that is missing from the sticker may be. The identification number that was on this sticker has faded through the years, perhaps if I wasn't so old I could see it better, but a number is very hard to make out. Any ideas out there what I am dealing with, as for the name of the dealership?

There was a dealer named Nickey Chev that sold many muscle cars in the 70's but do not know how long they were in business.

Hi Dupie, Contact the libraries in Chicago. Ask about a listing of the Chevrolet Dealerships in the area in the 50's. Explain the story you told us and I'm sure one of the librarians will gladly help. Through some detective work on my own, I was able to locate a surviving member of the orginal owners family by going through a library. From there, I found out what dealership originally sold my 51 Styleline. A library in that area provided me with some info and a advertisement. ![[Linked Image from 1951chevy.homestead.com]](http://1951chevy.homestead.com/files/swj.gif) Hope this helps. Keith
