I have a 55 1st series 3100 pickup . I had the spring redone to factory spec. I did not realize how hard the ride would be. I am thinking of removing 1 leave from each corner to help the ride. My question is which one should I remove . Their are 8 leaves, Any ideas thanks.

Having the factory springs rearched should not make the ride harder. In fact it larger curve will actually soften the load by making the spring more flexible. These trucks did ride hard when unloaded.
If I were to remove a leaf for better riding qualities I would remove the third from the bottom. This will lower the truck about an inch and decrease the load carring some but either would be no problem seeing it is not used for carring heavy loads.

Thanks for the reply I have sand bags in back and that helps but the front is so stiff it is hard to make the front go up and down when you jump on it. They said that they set them to spec but I have no way to tell.

When they were new you couldn't bounce the front end.
The springs are very stiff.
I would bet yours are normal. They rode like a truck when they were new.

Eight leaves sounds a bit over kill for a 1/2 ton...

8 was stock with 9 was heavy duty for vthe rear.
I drove trcks like this many miles when they were new. Rough ride but helped a little when there were two short blocks in the back.
