Gene,

I have observed the same as you. Other than that, I don't know the guy and don't anything about him or his "business." Certainly many VCCA members and Chevy Chat folks sell in both places.

However, a couple of Chevy Chatter folks have "complained" to me privately that this fellow is basically just using this forum and the G and D as part of his "business."

Apparently some folks think this fellow is too much "professional" and not enough "amateur."

Gene,

I figured it would have been used already, so I did a 'search.'

No results.

So I'm going to post it and give you and Ray and me "credit" for it.

On the other hand.......

Confucius Mike says:
"Crazy man pays $1500 for compass to find way to psychiatrist. But, wise man asks cabby and pays only $50, including tip!"

Hey Mike:

I'm not sure which "Mike" you are. At first I presumed you were my buddy with the 41 Coupe and a "new name." But now I'm thinking that's not the case.

Anyway, the very first post in this thread has a link to a compass on eBay. You can click on the "link" and get right to it.

Have fun!!!

Hi Mike,

Sorry for the confusion.

The "other" Mike also has a 41 Special Deluxe Coupe. His is Admiral Green. It's going to be in the 2006 calendar. As I recall, "his" month is July.

I saw him "selling" the So Cal Region's VCCA hats recently in the "Parts for Sale" category and noticed he's still known as "michael41."

Incidentally, they are neat hats!!

What did you think of the compass on eBay??

You could also have this for a bid of $695.00, or that Beautiful 3" plastic compass for $1500+.

 bigl Just to put a little perspective twist on this.

You know, if a member is posting a VCCA ad for help in locating a hard to find part, it SHOULD BE for personal use on his/her project, not for financial gain in a biz venture. There are a lot of people willing to help, I have benefited myself from member / other enthusiast generosity, but this is not right. I have been watching this item too, it's crazy how high these things go. Accessory banjo steering wheels go for big money too. As much as I might like to have one, I am not going to pay 1-2K for it.

Gene, I bought a GPS receiver, and a nice laptop computer to run it on, for considerable less than a Genuwine XXXX year NOS Chevrolet compass if merely staying on course is what you want.....I suggest you check into that item!!!!!

P.S.
You can also use the laptop to keep current on the VCCA Chatter site pontifications, whilst you are on the road!!

 wazzup ok
