Hello all, I am a newbie here. Tried the search tool and couldn't find a number plate decoding tool or a topic on it. Hoping someone here can help me with it. The number stamped in the plate looks like (9AH10 6584) I have also looked on the web trying to find info on it and only found where to locate the plate. Thanks for having me here and I look forward to learning from all the knowledgeable people.

Hello Tiny, and Thank You very much for the break down. I have clicked on and placed in my favorites the information PDF file that you linked to for me. So much appreciated. This is my first pre-war car and I absolutely love it. I and my wife own a 1976 Corvette which we completely restored just over 10 years ago. I want to use the 41 for photo prop and enjoy it with short drives in the summer months with the grand kids. It'll take me a while to get her like I want but, I don't waver once I get my mind made up. Thanks again for your response...

Hi vinE,

Welcome from Michigan... I too have a 41 and have been restoring it the past 11 years. I usually work on it winters and drive it summers. This last year I have been doing body work towards getting a new paint job. This link is to an introduction we did for a new 42 member, a lot of the info applies to you and your 41. Please provide us some more info on you and your car so we can better understand both of your conditions??? My New Forty-Two

Since you are a 41 owner I am going to give you my PERSONAL phone number, so call when you want some advice (989-832-7634). If I don't answer please leave a message.

I am impressed that your car still had its original Car Serial Number Plate on the passenger side floor. This usually is a high rust/wear area so prone to be missing. This is what my floor looked like in 2010. It did end up looking much worse when I removed the entire bottom of the front floor panel(see masking tape), and the rest of the rocker back to the rear tire well. Today most would not be able to tell there was extensive repair in the area.
