There was a discussion on here a while back about best 6v battery and most people agreed that the
Optima 6v Red Top was the Icing.
In doing research on pricing, they run about $150-200 based on location and dealer. Including Local parts stores. Amazon was the cheapest for around $115 or less shipped. Better when you have Prime :)
The concern was that via Amazon there is NO OPTIMA WARRANTY as Amazon was NOT an authorized reseller, so you bought it and it was yours, no warranty. Amazon did NOT take them back.
Well last week I was ready to get my Optima Red Top and noticed that on Amazon that they are NOW an Authorized Re seller and the 3 yr Warranty is NOW COVERED when you buy from them !! So i bought in, plus since I had a $30 credit on my account I got me one for $87 Delivered to my Door !!
Just thought I would share for anyone looking to get one and concerned about the warranty, Amazon is now covered !!

Warranty, Parts: Optima warrants to the original purchaser that this battery is free of defects in material and workmanship for a 36 month replacement period when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. If a replacement is necessary due to a defect in materials and/or workmanship the battery will be replaced free of charge, within the free replacement period from date of original purchase.
