I just bought my first old car, a 52 Fleetline (I had a 67 Mustang in college that I butchered... I mean learned on). I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as I start tinkering with it more. Currently I'm doing really minor jobs and driving around on weekends. The car runs well and looks nice but is far from being a show car; its really just a nice looking toy right now.

This is hardly a technical question, but I'm curious about audio systems that will fit the dash holes where the old radio used to be (there's no radio installed currently). Does anyone know where I can get a nice new stereo that will fit and look nice? FYI, its been converted to 12v.

Thanks,
michael

But a nice original radio would look nicer. :) And if you really need stereo (as if the gentle rumble of a stovebolt or the warm hum of AM weren't enough) you could install their hidden setup in the glovebox.

I mean, why butcher another car? (I can see maybe doing it to a **** - but a Chevy! )

I just strapped an old FM converter to the bottom of my original AM radio. But the kids complain I still play 'old' music. drink

Jim,

Thanks for the info, and sorry I posted my message twice (here, under the wrong year range).
