Brewster,

That comment hurt something awful! Did too!

I can imagine that it was a real free-for-all down at the club headquarters when they were slicing up the years for each forum in the Chat. Some arguing that it belonged with the 46, 7 and 8s owing to everything being almost the same through those years and how different it was from the lowly (your words) 1941.

It probably went on for hours that way, back and forth. Some 47/48er suggesting that it was pre=war and so should be with the 37-41s. Best I recall he was taken out and shot. It may have been down to who drew the short straw when it came to the 1942.

I don't think the 47-48ers even like the 1946. They seem to be excluded from invites to share tee time and all.

Tell you what how about a 41-46 forum. That will make the snobs with 47-48s happy and will cheer up the 42 and 46ers who surely feel left out of the fun. A good ol' 41 will dance with anybody. Will too! Agrin beermugs

It's not so much the Fleetline that seems to dazzle you 47-48ers as the Aerosedan and the "upper crust" class act.

Nice cut and cropped picture of a 46 Fleetline Aerosedan there, CC. Had to dust off many old magazines to find that ad, I suppose. Thanks for the hard and hot work up there in the attic.

I have come to the conclusion, after all this solicitation for Fleetline picture, that there are no 46 Fleetline Aerosedans in the club. Further, that because there are none, they are excluded from the exclusive club of "stick-to-gathers" (STG) simply by default. This STG quasi-club doesn't have to ignore them as "wall-flowers" because they don't even show up for the dance. See?

The 46 looks too much like the 42 for the 47-48ers to consider them worthy. When was the last time you STG guys have advised a 46er on how to fix his car? Please hurry with your answer, I'm holding my breath here and starting to turn blue. Am too!

Tell me, when the STG guys get together is the event saturated with discussions about mechanics and engineering or are the discussions about the arts and philosophy? Can a guy get a beer or Is high grade champagne served only. Do the pinkies stick out whilst a-sipping? After dinner, of roast Bison, new potatoes and Silver Queen corn (not used for ethanol), are the cigars Cuban and the cognac imported from Germany? Do you use correct grammar? Are tuxedos an option. Tails?

Are Canadians allowed in the STG club even if do they have a trailer queen quality 47 or 48 Chevrolet Aerosedan? Will a mere scale model (a well done one) qualify
one? (I'm trying to help you there, Brewster.) Agrin nanana stressed bike

Okay. That 46 looks a good as any 47 or 38 if fen it had some wood and skirts and a two-tone paint job. So why won't you guys let it attend the party? Strange. Is too!

Well, I see with the banner that maximum effort has been made to see to it that I am intimidated sufficiently to take the leap. It has been fun, guys, but I'm outta here. A man can only take so much. Adios, averdezane, chow, G-day, syanora. I didn't spell none of those right but "what does it matter now." Who arranged for that. Is the STG club that powerful. Heavens to Betsy.

Oh, I forgot the Canadian farewell, "I done said I paid you."

I'm hoping that Charlie headed over to the '36- '41 section to start a "post your '41" thread...

I might have known it was that stinkin, 36 car/truck combo, wheeling and dealing, Billy B what put up that eyesore of a banner. He obviously hates me or he was persuaded to put it up by the president of the STG (stick-to-gather) club. Maybe they paid him to do it. If so, I hope it cost them a bundle.

If BB comes to Hershey, I a-gonna go by his space and have a chat: man to man. He's got a heap of answering to do. Does too!

How come CCs car doesn't have the chrome stone guards? Is that another thing wrong with it along with the after market trunk handle. I'm keeping score.

I wonder how long that banner will stay up there. If it featured 41s it would have been down already. I guess BB is invited to the party. Get your tux out of the attic Bill. Champagyne corks will be a-poppin in your honor. Will too. Start exercising your pinkie. It should be held at a "just so" angle. Otherwise you'll look like a redneck at a president's inaugural ball. Why, you couldn't get a date at a woman's prison with a arm-full of pardons. But put up a stupid banner and the 47/48 clubers act like they have won the lottery. Enjoy it whilst you can.

I was almost outta here but reconsidered. Awe, stop it, stop it. The applause is deafening and embarrassing. Is too!

Charlie - you know you love us 47/48 guys! :-) Stop by and see me at Hershey. Will be at the picnic Thursday evening and also manning the VCCA tent Friday afternoon, 2-4.

Charlie needs to join us on a six cylinder tour sometime. It would save us from going out and hiring a comedian! We could also use more practice fixing '41's that up and decide to quit running! I'm not even sure he read my journal. There was no response as to why it was the '41's letting us down all week. We won't talk about the '48's though, will we Dale? A bit too soon, right?

I plan to start a thread on my '48 engine troubles once we seriously start working on it. Pulled the plugs and #2 was dripping oil. The others all look great. Just a question of what happened and how bad it is...

Brewster:

Love the pic of the two 47 Fleetlines on the carrier. Since I have a 4 dr Fleetline and a Aerosedan Fleetline(both Scout Brown over Sport Beige) I have a 12 x 18 framed copy hanging in my old car room. When I look at it I imagine they are my cars getting delivered.
Thanks for posting the pics

Charlie because the car is black I decided to keep my rubber gravel shields,in my opion it maintains a clean line down the fenders of the car...I'm sure you know the stainless shields were an accessory
