Not trying to get involved in any kind of vendor bashing here but....

You are usually better off sending your own carb. to a specialized carb. rebuilder & have them rebuild your carb.

The problem with the big sellers is... they collect old used cores to rebuild.
Everyone who sends them a "core" carb. usually sends the worst beat up carb. they have laying around so they can get out of paying the high price of the core charge.

The big seller then tries to mix & match these parts & cobble together the parts from these crappy carbs. to rebuild & it usually does not work out very good.

I guess if you return enough bad "rebuilt" carbs. to the vendor... you are bound to get lucky & get one that works but it is a real PITA to do it that way.
