Some people are telling me to put longer spark plug in my 39. So I got AC 45FF should I put them in?

NO-NO-NO-NO. I have used AC45R plugs in my '39 for years and years with good results. Why would the extended thread be a good idea? It would stick into the combustion chamber to far and cause problems. The 45FF is among other things a Corvair spark plug and designed for aluminum heads.

Yes......long ones get more oil? never heard that one before but if the car is burning oil the longer plugs will get more passed by them oil and foul out. If the engine actually is burning oil and you do a lot of low speed driving you could go up one heat range to a #46 AC.(R)

No. The TS stands for tapered seat. The R45 will be a flat seat with a gasket. R45 is still a good ACDelco number and is available most everywhere.

I always stick with AC's since they were the OE plug. Since I always have had Chevy's I had to reason to sample Champions.
Try your local traditional parts store if you still have one or NAPA. If NAPA does not have them they can get them very quickly.
