Hello all,
I have a 38 Master Deluxe that needs side mounted mirrors. I am conditioned to using my mirrors, but my 38 does not have any.
-What side mounted mirrors would look more correct for the 1938 era believing they were not common at the time.
-I was looking at peep mirrors(3" or 4 with curved arm or straight)
-Any suggestions would be appreciated, but no mirrors is not an option.
Thanks,
Blessings,
Mike A

Mike,

I run a peep mirror on my 41 driver. I don't like it. It's hard to keep the darn thing tight. Always a-wobbling around. Pain in the butt. I can't run a door mirror because the minor gap between the door and post won't accomodate the attachment.

I would suggest getting a proper door mirror. One for each side. Should fit a 38 with no trouble. Agrin

Good luck,

I thought vibration would be an issue just looking at how they mount. What would be the proper mirror? I looked for old pics to see, but no luck.
Thanks
Mike A

I think the round ones that clamp onto the leading edge of the door. I think Chevys of the Forties and the Filling Station have them. Perhaps a member has them also.

Check with Ray or Gene, JYD and others for the right ones for you car.

Thanks for the reference. Safety is #1. I want my 38 as safe as she can be.
I kept reaching for seat belt and turn signal, but alas not installed yet, but will be.
Blessings
