Why are the outer bearings so expensive and difficult to find in stock? I am getting conflicting information on the part numbers. Any information including part number or source would be appreciated.

According to the 1929-1941 parts manual, the outer wheel bearing assembly part number for a 1936 Standard (Model FC) is 909021.
The Filling Station (Fillingstation.com) carries a limited number of these (Part number FS-34) at $75 each. Vintage Auto Parts (Vapinc.com) in Denver also lists this bearing assembly for $35.75. However, there seems to be some question as to whether or not they are still in business, and if so, how viable a company they are, with the ability to deliver on an order.

There are other places to buy those. Check the net and you will see other vendors. There are also persons who have some stock of parts that they sell from time to time. You might want to post in the "parts wanted" down on the Forum List. Good luck and hope this helps you.

Years bak when I was collecting parts from dealers they all had a good supply of the smaller Standard wheel bearings. I never bothered to pick up any.

I have plenty of NOS New Departure bearings for the wheels, $30, transmission and rear end. Very good VCCA pricing!
