I have an NOS, in the box, group # 3.712, part 986885, stainless outer with Chevy chevron empossed in the outer end, a steel inner liner with a clamp and fasteners (in paper envelope).
Someone said it is for a 1945 car. I don't have a catalog to look it up. Someone may want it. I don' even know what it's worth.
I always prefered the round type cut at 90 degrees.

your right, most guys look for the pea-shooter loud pipes,,,,,,,and maybe a siren. that`s just another style, a lowrider doesn`t really need to have his car "lowered" in the hispanic car culture, the car is a canvas, some look for an authentic look, some of my cars are 100% percent GM originals , down to the paint and mohair interior. so a GM exahust tip will work, i have cars that are that are full "lowrider cars" too. i get on those sites that cater to those cars to fill those needs. you can`t paint us with one brush, a "lowrider" comes in many styles

That is a 1953-1954 accessory. Thanks, Gene. You are always "there", helping us. I may put it in "For Sale". I only have the '41. Some of us like OEM accessories - I do, too.

look at the 1941 convertible at CHEVSOFTHE40`S that`s loaded with all GM accessories nobody`s considering that car a "LOWRIDER" and I think he has that so called dreaded "41 exaust tip" that some guys on here dislike so much, or think it`s a lowrider only thing that 41 is just DEDICATED TO ORIGINALITY. A GOOD NUMBER OF "LOWIDERS ARE TOO"

I agree MR59, in fact I think the main reason we have a lot of good reproduction parts and places to choose from is because of the popularity of low riders. The late 30's - 40's cars are very popular it seems, especially in the west coast and southwest US. Many of us are greatful for the car cultures (all of them) that appreciate old American cars and keep them rolling, regardless of taste. Keep the faith. We can all appreciate the talents people bring to the hobby.
