Wow that Corvette would be nice to 'discover' in that collection today. What a sweetie. Great photos, Bruce and yes Big Joe couldn't possibly fit in that '55 without a droptop. Poor guy...

Onward. Here's a '58 Bel Air or Biscayne outside one of New Orleans' best cafes.

[Linked Image from imageshack.us]

Here's a badguy getting 'busted' by the 'fuzz' with something in the trunk of a '56

[Linked Image from imageshack.us]

And here's a goodguy in a new '57. If he's the fire chief, then the boys in the station need to get that dirt cleaned off those tires ASAP. It wouldn't pass inspection under my watch.

The last photo is of the Dendoff Springs Operation in Naniamo, British Columbia, Canada some 70 years ago. The company still exists, over 100 years in business. As for the stretch limo, can't help there, but the compaNY HAS THIS PHOTO IN THEIR PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL SO SOMEONE THERE MAY KNOW.
As for the '20's Chevy in the tree, I note there is a driver still in the car, plus the photographer, so must have been 2 couples out for a spin!

Those are a bit blurred because I took photos of photos on the wall of a display about the early logging industry here. There's a 50's GMC full of sawn lumber tipped over what looks like a Hudson and a couple of what look to me like 35 or so Chevies or GMC's.

The 1939 is pictured in "A Pictorial History of Chevrolet" and described as a 7 passenger export model.
It looks to be the same as the extended taxi models avaiable from 1936-1938 here in the US.

The plate says 1954... but this brand new Chevy is already pretty beat up!

I'm not sure what is going on here, but the driver of this 1952 Deluxe 4 door is about to find out...

That shot with the '54 shows its wearing Illinois license plates. I'm guessing it looks so rough due to those ever-so-fun Chicago winters I recall so well. I don't miss those one bit.

Found some of these from the HAMB, including this shot of what looks like Times Square with a really old Chevrolet advertisement at night.

[Linked Image from imageshack.us]

Here's some curves...

[Linked Image from imageshack.us]

Here's a '36 that someone put in an awkward situation.

[Linked Image from imageshack.us]

Speaking of awkward, there were awkward high school photos back in the day, too. This one includes a Chevy coupe!

[Linked Image from imageshack.us]

And here's a couple from a series of photos displayed at a local show this summer. They're from the original and current owner of a 1965 Chevelle Z16 SS 396. His father owned a Chevrolet dealer in Farmington, Illinois near Peoria. The son purchased and raced the Z16 across the midwest for a few years and his Dad's dealership sponsored it. Not a bad gig, eh? He still owns the car today, and has returned it to 100% as-delivered condition.

Wonderful shots, as always Bruce. The 210 ragtop would be nice to have today!

In the '34 Taxi photo, I'm intrigued with the car in the background with the spare, I assumed pic was about 37/39, but this looks like a later model, perhaps mid/late-forties? Any idea what make it is?

Pat's right... 1939- 1941 Lincoln. The first few years had vertical tail lights that were on the tail pan, not the fenders. The post war cars had them moved to chrome housings on the rear fenders.

I would suspect that the 1953 150 coupe is a club coupe rather than a business coupe due to the fact it looks as if a family was involved.
Rather unusual to see a 150 coupe with two tone paint and fender skirs and some kind of wheel covers.
