Hi Andre, Here is another set of posts on the oil line installation. It alludes to a new type of copper tubing that has lead in it and is easier to bend. I think it is a more reasonable solution to the harder to bend copper tubing that is sold by Chevs of the 40's. It seems that whatever type of copper you wish to use you should be able to buy it locally with all the fittings you need? Hopefully, I am not being too optimistic in assuming you could purchase it locally? In the USA a lot of our automotive part stores still sell all the fittings and copper tubing. Lead based copper tubing Good luck, Mike P.S. Thanks Gene for clarifying the measurements on the copper tubing.

I think you guys are overthinking this thing. The compression fitting should be enough without any stinkin solder. You worry too much. There is very little pressure on either side of the fitting. Charlie
