Just a follow-up to my original post on this thread. I dealt with Qual-Krom in Erie,PA for some of my chroming needs. They received good internet reviews and I figured if there was a glitch Erie is within several hour's drive if need be. They were very pleasant people to deal with. The turn-around time for my radiator shell and headlight bar was just under two months as promised, the work is beautiful and the price was as they quoted via phone. Seems like a husband-and-wife operation (Bob and Patty Ore.) Patty called me last week to let me know the bumpers are now done and they'll be shipped this week when Bob gets back from spring Carlisle. If the earlier work is indicative I think I'll be pleased.
A place in East Hartford, CT (New England Chrome Plating) was recommended by a fellow at work. Again, their internet reviews were positive, they were less expensive for the door handles and some other small parts and were were quite pleasant over the phone. In a couple weeks those parts should be done. I'll post here a review of their work. If I'm as pleased with them as with Qual-Krom then I've lucked into two good businesses here on the east coast.
