I am installing the splash pans back on my 37 p/u and I will have to remove the add on fuel filter that I have on the suction side of the pump for now so the road draft tube can go in the hole of the pan, when I get the wipers working I want to get a dual diaphram pump and put the filter back on so will a 216 fuel pump fit a 57 235.

The fuel pump is the same from 1937-1962, 216, 235,261.....as far as "fiting" is concerned.

I have a 37 pickup and 52 sedan. I also have a dual action fuel pump but am reluctant to put it on. After rebuilding it,it takes a lot of force to work the arm. I am concernd it may wear the cam lobe.
