Sorry if my remark made in jest hit a nerve. I didn't realize how important a thread about a comic strip can be. I just just didn't make the connection with the comic strip and hod rod bashing. I guess we should also criticize all the old board track racers and stock car builders for "butchering up" lots of old cars back in the day. Talk about dangerous, take a look at an old board tracker some time and image those cars going real fast.I admire the courage of those old "car butchers".
As for what you think of my input on this forum, I will take some well given advice and leave that unsaid.

Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great"

I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

It looks like human nature hasn't changed much since Ben Hur was racing chariots on a circle dirt track. Every one pushed the envelope as far as possible, same human nature, just a newer slicker envelope carbana auto

Morning Mr Mack,

Now you should have seen this one coming....................

Since Ben Hur was racing chariots on a circle dirt track. Every one pushed the envelope as far as possible, same human nature, just a newer slicker envelope.

So tell me Mr Mack being there at the races, have you got any pictures??

Cheers

Ray

Oh Oh, I am guilty of turning 2 late 60s Chevelles into dirt track stock cars, and I had all 3 of my old Chevys at the time but the Chevelles just seemed like old junkers back then.
