I wondered about that but the heat kit only had one tapped out hole. I could tap another hole and see what that does. I'll try it. THANKS

Steve,

Before you drill a second hole, take another look at pic that Hayree38 posted. You could add a "Y" block at the single hole and bend new tube similar in shape to what you see in the pic.

Sounds like the same situation...Just a little bit closer to the hole. laugh

I would say you need that in-an-out flow to, well, get that flow.

I drilled and tapped another hole and installed the 1/2" tube fittings. I'm trying to find steel tubing that can be bent with hand benders. Some of the steel tubing is not meant to be bent. I'll call around tomorrow. Photos are sure to follow.

1/2" steel Conduit used in electric work in easily bent with a conduit bender, a very cheap tool that can be bought in any hardware store ...ED

I was only wrong one time in my life so far. But that time I was right, and only thought I was wrong....ED

I did have 3/8 " OD tubing ,which was advised by the Fenton Co., I've upgraded to 1/2" OD tubing. I did have both sides of the split exhaust tee-d and going into one hole in the heat kit. Now I will have a 1/2" tube from each side going into two holes in the heat kit. I'm trying to build a larger fire in the stove... Agrin

I'm gonna keep this old chevy from running cold I hope.

Harbor Freight has a 1/2" steel tube bender for about $40.00. But you might be able to have your local muffler of machine shop to bend it for you cheaper.
Just a suggestion.

Thanks. The larger tubing won't look as neat as the smaller tubing, but the results maybe will be worth it. The outlets on the split manifold are pointing at odd angles. It's going to look strange. I guess the design was needed to fit many different models of inline chevy engines and bodystyles.

Is that the correct price? Is it for a 235? Condition? Where do I send the money?
