I tried to change the link a little, thinking it was incorrect, but it might be a private album.

REVISED::::

I'm new to VCCA and I want to share my 10 year restoration with everyone....

Now that my numbers matching 56 is done I want to take it to some real nice Judged shows, I put alot of time and money into my truck trying to make it as close to original as the 56 trucks rolled off the assembly line, I followed the assembly manual all the way.....

It has as many NOS parts as I could find, it also has correct paint match on the outside and interior, I'm sending in my club membership today, I hope to meet good people on this site...Enjoy the pics, just go to the direct link-

http://s555.photobucket.com/albums/...6%20Chevrolet%203100%20Truck%20pictures/

for the photobucket of my restoration........Thanks...STEVE M

No big deal, but you are in the car section and should be down in the trucks. I plan to move you.

The restoration of that truck is a credit to you.
While I do not pretend to be a judge I consider that to be a winning entry at a lot of shows.

Steve... beautiful truck! You've made the right decision to join the club. Can't wait to see it in person some day.

Steve -

Thanks for sharing the pics of your beautiful '56. I appreciate your attention to detail and desire for NOS parts. Good luck on the "show circuit." I know that you have a lot of tall trophys and compliments in your future.

Thanks for all the compliments on my truck Fella's, it has been a quite the time consuming process especially here in Northern Michigan where the restoration businesses are not as abundant, I had to send alot of my parts and such all over America to get the proper resto on my parts, I did get lucky enough to have a good bodymen for my body work, they have show quality cars and are fussy with the work on them, I'm also Fussy and that accounts for a long drawn out resto, the truck body was taken apart and put back together twice over, so the body lines were very straight, I did everything else but the body work & rebuild the engine, those that do show body work know what I'm talking about, alot of sanding and buffing & prep work.......

I tried to have all the correct numbers I could possibly get on the truck, I even had all the glass date coded from LOF Glass company, I did find an original in the box tool tray, wiper washer bag and I even have an original NOS bug screen for the truck, I also added an emergency brake blinker switch and I had to buy 2 NOS turn signal kits just to get the correct tail lamps, what's also cool is I found an NOS clutch leather boot for over the shifter fork, I bought alot of NOS stuff on E-bay back in 2002 & 2003, I also have lot's of NOS chevy parts that I have gathered up over the years that maybe I can help someone out down the road with here on the VCCA board............Thanks ....STEVE M

It looks like an AC filter with a pressure regulator to me. If it is it is not a correct Chevrolet accessory.

The Filter unit I have on the carburator is a ACono-mizer filter unit made by the AC company, this was used to regulate the fuel pump pressure with vacuum, it would also keep out vapor lock when the motor is hot once you shut it off and try to restart the motor, alot of the old cars had vapor lock, I have another one of these stashed, when I find it I can let you know what the part number is, it works on my truck real nice....Rooney3100

What a gorgeous truck!

I wouldn't change a thing.

I like those single headlights in that body style the best.

I agree with evertone else. At first glance, you should have no problem scoring up there in a judging meet.
