I found this photo on the web. It was my first car.It's exactly like the one I had as a kid(1962,14 yrs old). I don't know if it is the actual car or not.I don't remember that background. It's painted Roman Red. That color came out that year on a SS Impala. I don't know why that car has no rubber mat on the running boards,maybe replaced with aftermarket boards. I gave $175 dollars and a cushman scooter for the old car.I hand sanded the entire car during a summer break from freshman to sophmore years and a friend of my father painted it for $100. The knee action was leaking really bad and it jumped out of second gear if you didn't keep your hand on the shifter. It needed alot of little things done,but the bright red paint job was my main concern. I put porta-wall white wall covers from Western auto on the tires.

You should be able to see both photos. They have a URL address. ? Maybe Webshots took a coffee break..smiles
