http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005...t=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item43af186ec1

6.0 liter Corvette powered
Retractable hardtop
Extremely Heavy

51-53 Chevy pickup look, you can get a pretty good deal on one still.

LS-2 corvette = 3040 lbs
LS-2 SSR = 5000 lbs

Don't expect this to run like a vette ,even if it is Corvette powered

More than likely sold it by the pound !! This weighs more than a 59 Cadillac Fleetwood !!

http://www.caddyman.com.au/pages/specs.htm

It's suppose to get 15 mpg. The guys I know that bought them said more like 12mpg.

I think the retracable top is made out of 3/4 inch Boiler Plate !!..just kiddin

A pal of mine bought a Slingshot Yellow one before hardly anybody had seen 'em back in 2003. Neat vehicle, altho I always thought they looked more like 49-53 Studebaker p/u rather than AD Chev p/u's. Especially the cab roof.

Still expensive according to asking price of those for sale. And fuel usage is really high. BTW, I think the '03 SSR was the Indy Pace Car in 2003.

Neat looking, but.....
