Aftermarket companies or subcontractors could have installed accessories, as it suited them. Add on a/c comes to mind, a popular add on in the 60's ... an add on that always seems to cause problems, after the installation.

My thought is I would only go with the way Chevy would have done it. Just my own thought here.

Gee Ray , I always have wondered about what the heck the draw was for spotlights on these cars ! Now , I guess I know...Thanks

I don't think I'll bother with changing the antenna from the right-side...heck , who knows I may get a spot light someday! Yeah , that's the ticket , a spotlight ! Wait a second , I have to drill another hole in my car ?
