I need to find a wiring diagram for all the wiring. Many of the wires under the dash have been cut off and I'm trying to find out where there connected. Also having a problem with my brake stop lights when I checked the wiring behind the brake cylinder they were hot so I had to disconnect the wire. This only happended when I replaced the brake light bulb. It caused by battery to run down.

Chuck:
The Chevy shop manuals have wiring diagrams. Check the VCCA G&D magazine for vendors who make reproduction manuals.
An easy and safe way to tackle wiring is to replace the harness. It sounds more complicated than it is but the wiring is really quite simple. It's really superior to use all new, original gauge wire rather than splicing into the old frayed stuff. The new harnesses come with diagrams and each line is numbered/labeled to make it simple.

Chuck,
There are a couple of good vendors for these wiring harnesses. I bought mine from Rhode Island Wiring Service. They're a bit pricey, but the quality is outstanding. Looks just like the original. I have yet to install mine, but it looks relatively straight forward.

YnZ\'s Yesterday\'s Parts is an excellent place to get a complete wiring harness. Talk to Gene, he is very helpful. dance
