Any one know a person or company, hopefully on the East coast that is competent repairing Chevy speedometers? Last person that I sent it to had it the better part of 6 months, didn't do what I wanted (reset the main odometer to the mileage that showed when I sent it off) sent it back with the trip odometer not working (worked before) and reading about 15 MPH slow at 50 MPH (said that he had it "right on the money")-- was only about 5-6 MPH off when sent.

Why not try doing it yourself?
I rebuilt 3 good out of 4 old ones.
Had never done before.
You can buy the refacing kit from the Filling Station for around $25 USD. The main thing is to clean all the gears, lubricate, and the calibration process is pretty simple.

Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great" I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

Calibrate at 1000 RPM showing 60MPH on the dial. There is a small brass lever that does the adjusting on the inside.
