I may be shipping to NOS fenders and wonder what companies are recommended, and what is a good way to package them? Each fender is 60 inches by 30 inches by 24 inches and weighs 25 pounds. Do I just wrap them in bubble wrap a couple of times, or take them someplace to be professionally wrapped? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Didn't want to say where or who they are going to because I'm sure a few of you would recommend I just cut them up and flatten to fit in a 2 foot square box for assembly by the new owner?

Some us might have already figured who is the recipient.

One of the best options that I have used in the past is Greyhound. All you have to do is cover the edges that might harm other people's luggage. You can try to package them in cardboard with bubble wrap and other packaging material but then that large box may be more prone to get mishandled.

I agree with Greyhound. I've shipped oversize packages with them in the past for a fraction of the cost or UPS or Fedex. The down side is the recipient has to go to the bus station to retrieve the package.

Mike, I can save you the trouble of dealing with Charlie or greyhound.

Just attach the fenders to a really nice, 41 Chevy Rag top then ship the car to me. wink

Once I get it, I'll be sure Charlie or who ever gets the front fenders. bigl bigl

Enjoy,
Michael41
