Hi.
I have a 1934 master.I want to change the lock on the glove box door, but cant get the old one off.. I have a new lock.
How do I remove the old one. It should be simple. Is it a drawing or descripion that can show how to do it. Thanks.
Regards Sverre.

I went through this last year with the assistance of the the guys here. You have to have the key to the lock to do this.
Insert the key in the 12 clock (vertical) position and then rotate slightly left to the 11 clock position. At the 11 clock position you can remove the latch and spring and then unscrew the nut. If no key... I had a locksmith cut one and then proceed above. The locksmith had no problems making the key.
Good luck

I have a 1934 Master sedan.
To remove the existing lock you must have the key.
Then: Position the lock in the unlocked position(key cuts down)
Gently jiggle the key and turn the key counterclockwise a small amount to the 11:00 position. The cylinder will start to come out-don't allow that.
With the key in the 11:00 position, gently lift up on the latch/spring parts with two fingers and they will slide out towards the bottom.
Then push in and return the key to the 12:00 position and remove it. Remove the nut and washer and lock.
I thank the guys from VCCA for the help on this.
Good luck, Jerry
P.S. I just went to the garage and disassembled mine this way.

Hi Dick,

So what are you looking for Town Sedan wise? Most everything is common but the trunk parts.
