I see where there are gas tanks available that will increase capacity a few gallons. Has anyone tried one on say a 41. Does it show from behind or, in other words, does it look like a oil pan with a larger capacity under an engine? Is it an eyesore? Won't anyone feel like a rest stop after using 17 gallons or whatever a 41 holds (I can't remember at the moment.)

Any positive comments for them?

Thanks,
Charlie

The 1940-1957 cars held 16 gallons. I have found that you can safely travel 200 miles (on the higway) between refills. I bet thats farther than you can go between "eleminations". Even the 14 Gal. tank of my 1939 will give 200 miles.
