Cool. Maybe that is what the slots in the bottom of the intake ports are for in the 1932 head, to keep the sleeves in one particular direction. Diagonal cut up or diagonal cut down!!!

1929 thru 1932 Manifold Sleeves: LEFT TO RIGHT - Left: 1929 passenger car - manifold sleeves are round Second From Left: 1929 truck - manifold sleeves are round with a 90 degree flange at the base of the sleeve. Third From Left: 1930-31 - manifold sleeves are oval at the base of the sleeve. Far Right: 1932 - manifold sleeves are cut at a diagonal.

Thanks JY-Dog, So does the 1932 has a pressed out groove to lock the sleeve with the diagonal up or down?
The truck type with the inner 90 degree edge , would that reduce the revs on the trucks like the later carburetor restrictors from around 1939??

I just stumbled across these manifold sleeves in the 1929-1950 parts catalogue, and it listed 3 different types available (as replacement parts). 1929-1931 (all) 1 7/32" O/D 3 3/8" 15/16 ID 1932-33 B,N, CA,CC 1 9/32" O/D 3 3/8" Cutaway tube. 1933 CB,O 1 9/32" O/D 3 3/8" Solid tube.
