Mercury outboards (marine engines) have sent instructions to all dealers to test the fuel in all engines for Ethanol blends and if detected the engine will NOT be covered by warranty and are advised not to service any engine running E blend fuel.

Best I can tell from reading the many articles on the subject was that it's use in automobile gasoline began in the early 1920s and was in use until the advent of caytalic converters, around 1975. The Clean Air Act of 1995, I think it was, killed any gasoline with lead in it, completely.

Chipper, about those gizzmos that caused a car to get 50 plus miles to the gallon. Did they actually work? Seems to me that you can atomize gas only so far before it became too lean. I don't know.

Also, we've seem vendors at car shows and state fairs and such (at least we used to) selling a spark enhancer. They would have a rpm gauge and all. And the car would appear to actually increase in rpm when the gadget was used. Any information on that produch would, I suspect, be of intresst to the rest of us, also.

Any thoughts out there?

I certainly don't have the answers to the above questions.

Oh! Charlie!.... but the Super duper deluxe gasoline extrateresterial ionishofateizer does more than atominizeing the molecules of gasoline, it magnetically resolutes the gas molecules. MrMack, I am interested in obtaining one of those gadgets that you so elequently described but the phone number you gave didn't make sense. I think you need to check it and give out the correct one.

Just think I"ll get an unbelievable 60% better gas milage! That means about 22 miles per gallon! Wow! Why the thing will pay for itself in no time. And, if I can find a spark enhance, I'll probably get another 3-4 miles per gallon. SHAZAM!

I really thought those things were nothing but a bunch of hipe meant fot the gullible among us but now, owing to your testimonial, I am convinced there are for real. I always knew you'd steer me right. Thank you so much. You're truly a pal.
