As for the error, I was adding ANOTHER UPGRADE just now... They just found a really simple bug and released ANOTHER patch... buggers... but it was so easy, I just unpacked it and modified the file online. ALL done now.

As for the 38 photo -- I FOUND all of the photos and reinstalled them... Check it out.

Who's next? I'm in a fixin' mood!

Last night in one of my attemps to down load the page appeared on my screen with members pictures on the left side and above it was a list of the top posters for the last 30 days + some other neat stuff. . I saw this one time only.....should I be seeing it now????

I don't know all the computer talk language; but I'd say the site is back to how it was back when everything was OK. Or, back to "how it should be." All the Pictures, the top posters (altho I don't think that item is working), all the threads and posts and so on are all there (here) and working as they should.

I don't know exactly what a computer guy whould call that status. I just call it 'cool.'

ALSO, it's faster than all git out......

When you get way down close to the bottom of each page you won't see the left and right column stuff. Scroll up to the top of the page...and there it is!

You have an option of turning the left or right columns off in your preferences, so your left column might be turned off. I have my left column turned off so that I will have a wider area to read the posts and to type a post.

The Chat is working great!!!! Thanks Bill for all you do!!!

Eventually, though, I cave-in... and read the instructions!!!

There still seems to be something a little weird with Who's Online. When I open to Chatter, I do not appear as being online. When I open a specific Forum, I show up as being online but then I disappear once I leave the Forum. If I open a topic in the Forum and make a posting such as this, then I will remain in Who's Online. Beamer

I've noticed that links to Chat from the VCCA homepage are still an endless circle.

Have you changed them yet?

1. On the left...under "Fun Stuff" click on "Chat Room" and it brings you back to thehomepage.

2. "Visit VCCA Chat forums 24 hours a day!" ....click this one and it does the same thing.

3." Members can post their own photos directly
to the club chat site.

Have you missed these, or am I screwed up (as Usual)?

Thanks.. there are a couple of things that haven't been redirected to the new links yet. I was hoping that they weren't too big of a hassle.

Honestly I've been working on the NEW web site every single night since we moved over to the new server. I will install a copy of it sometime in the next week or two, so that you can test-drive it. I'm planning on putting it into production on New Year's Day, January 1st.

I'll take a few minutes and see what I can fix on the current page. Thanks for the heads up.

PITA ken48 here with another bad link.
While searching for some info the other day, I found another "hidden" link that doesn't go anywhere.

Try this......while in chat forums , click on FAQ (top right)
When it comes up, click on " What are the rules of conduct for the forum? ".

Look down about 4 lines, you will see.......

Nothing works there, and when I searched all over the VCCA Homepage, I couldn't find any link to the "Rules" page. I may have missed it, but check it out please.

I know you are working on a new VCCA Homepage.....maybe you could just wait until the grand unveiling and include a link there. Don't matter to me, just thought I'd point it out.

Bill, toward the bottom of the first page in the topic " What do you think about this issue? ", there is a lot of computer garbage.

Thanks Ken48... I think I got that one fixed now... took a while to find the "root" of the data... boy, was it buried in the code... ouch.

I know that there's still ones out there. Jim sent me 4 yesterday and then 4 more today. I worked on this dang site for six months and still didn't get all of the kinks worked out. Man, it's never-ending.
