I heard on the radio last week she turned 70 years old, and she said that at 50 rock and rollers should retire, and be remembered for what they were. I saw her perform several times, she was very electric on stage. Paul Kantner the guitar player for the Airplane/starship came through NYC area a few weeks ago and a friend of mine saw him and said he was great he is about 70 also, then on the other hand I saw Johnny Winter two weeks ago and it was like "night of the living dead." Go figure after 50 plus years of heroin/alcohol/chain smoking and what ever abuse artheritis is what seems to be doing him in

Very interesting, thanks for that clip.
I saw David Crosby and Gram Nash about this time last year. Their harmonies are better than ever, it was a great show. I think if you are still able to perform, go for it! Why not?

After all the years of her former life-style, she's lucky to be alive. Not sure she was making much sense in the interview. Sure loved that music back when.

She has always criticized her own voice as being monotone but it was her voice that made the band famous.
I believe that some of her best work was the 1980 album "Dreams".
