The aftermarket heater in my 36 FC sprung a leak after I re-installed it. As I rarely drive in winter, and it was not original, I believe I will just remove it and forget about a heater. Also, one of the previous owners installed galvanized pipe with 90 elbows to connect the heater hose to. Amusing but not cool. What do the plugs for the outlets look like when no heater was used, or were these holes added when a heater installed?

Just standard pipe plugs with a square head. Hardware store type.

Are you asking if any sheet metal plugs were used in the firewall from the factory if no accessory heater was installed ?

I was asking about the port in the block specifically and Gene answered that for me. But now that you have mentioned it, what was used to block the holes in the firewall? I have two sets as the after market heater did not line up with the factory holes and someone drilled another set.
