A year ago I replaced the neutral safety switch on my 1950 Chevy with a new one. It worked fine. However the other day I noted it would again start in any gear.
Is it normal for them to go out that fast? Is there a way to take it out, reset it and reinstall it or do I have to get another one?
Thanks

That switch on a 6 volt car almost never required replacing. Has your car been converted to 12 volts? Are you sure its the switch? could be in the wiring.

Gene, it's still an original 6. How do I test the wiring?
thanks
