I have been told that I have a 1990 Mr. Goodwrench engine in my 1966 Impala convertible. Can someone provide the location of the serial number and what those numbers mean. Jack39rdstr from Sydney Australia was kind enough to provide some information, but that was specific to Impalas. The seller told me he thought it was from a Monte Carlo. I'm not sure what I have but would like to know. I posted this in the wrong topic earlier, and now come to the authorities with my hat in hand begging forgiveness.

Thanks.

p.s. I don't find anything of the front of the right head.

The serial number should be on a pad machined into the front of the block just in front of the passenger side head. If you look at a Chiltons or Motors Manual it will give the numbers for all the Chevrolet models.

If its a GoodWrench replacement engine in may not have a serial number stamped into the block. Check with a Chevrolet Dealer parts department.
