There is no decision for the BOD to make at this time. The author withdrew the motion while it was at the discussion level with the executive committee, so the motion died there. So once that was done there was no further BOD action to take. This is why I mentioned in an earlier post that this is a little misleading as to what has happened, because there was no BOD action taken.
FYI... A motion came forward, a committee discussion was held with the author included. The concern was raised that it is not fair to raise the dues to support something that not even close to a majority of the members purchased. To be honest as a Member of the Executive Committee I had trouble supporting a motion requesting a dues increase to support the project.
Jim had notified membership through the chat site that he was no longer going to produce the calendars, this was very shortly after the author withdrew his motion. I not knowing that Jim was aware of the withdrawn motion, had asked him what his reasons were for giving up the project.
It was a great project, and Jim did a great job. It is unfortunate that more members did not purchase the calendars.
