Let's make this more interesting. Don't forget the Irish are "orange" as well as "green." The Irish Rovers had a great song about a man whose father was "orange" and his mother "green," and all the trouble this caused at family gatherings.

Some of my ancestors came here from Scotland by way of Ireland. So, I guess I'll go get some orange juice. However, I don't see any good looking orange 1941 Chevs on E-Bay.

oscar: That's why the orangemen drink single malt scotch rather than green beer. Of course, St Patrick was "green" so that is why green beer is the order of the day.

Good point Green, Orange & white...Irish colors as we all know.

Nope no orange 41's for sale. But on Paul's web site there's an Orange rendering of a {hot rod} 41 that looks cool.

Me, grand father was a Troubadour, one of me Great Grand Dads was piper and my other Grand Dad was in the Irish Black Watch regimen, those nasty rascals.

And this Irish lad has a Kilt {Foley plaid} & Dressings, and my Great Grand dads Pipers pin which I wear proudly.

And while My friends and I venture out on this day, we do call it "Amateur night." drink

And while I have only been to Ireland 2 times, I do not remember seeing or drinking Green Beer. Unless it may be in those tourist areas.

I have a sneaky suspicion those Yankee marketing guys added that color.....Hmmm, I wonder !!!!!!!!? drink

Mike: I agree that green beer is probably an American idea, but only the Scots could invent single malt scotch. I have never seen green beer in England, Scotland, or Ireland---just warm amber beer.

My Scottish ancestors were Highlanders who followed Bonnie Prince Charlie in the early 1700's in his revolt against the English. When the Scottish lost, the Brits moved into the Highlands and killed every one they could find. My ancestors (like many other Highlanders) fled to northern Ireland, and then on to the US, only to get caught up in another revolt against the Brits in 1775. This time they were more successful. The irony was that my Scottish ancestors (who fled the Brits in early 1700's) fought alongside my British ancestors (who came here in the late 1500's to make money) against my other British ancestors who were sent here by the King to fight against them. And you think politics today are confusing.

However, as you well know, a lot of Scottish stayed in northern Ireland which led to more problems down the line.

Enjoy your green beer. I'll take my orange juice out back and enjoy the sun. It is much too early for a wee dram of single malt. Maybe later.

Oscar: have Mike take you up to Tahoe or Arrowhead and show you his magic trick where he turns green beer into yellow snow.

With some five hours remaining, the bid is up to $15.6. The hi bidder is cc, who has been the hi bidder most of the time since around $11k. Probably lucky for the seller that the cc guy has a good FB number - 225. Altho the reserve not met light is still on.

The car looks to be worth every cent of $15.6. Altho an up-close-and-personal look might prove other-wise. Photos can be deceiving....
