I was there also. Had a great time kicking tires, talking with old friends and just enjoying myself. The Glass Capitol Region did a great job and everything seemed to go smoothly. Managed to get out of town with a couple of awards. Life is Good!

I guess Oldie did get out of town with a couple of awards - only Best of Show - 4 Cylinder!
The Central Meet was perfect. The weather for the show was great. Loved the hotel. There were members from as far south as Georgia, and as far east as NJ. Everyone involved with the Meet did an outstanding job. Looking forward to the Meet next year being hosted by the Miami Valley Region.

The Best of Show 6 Cylinder went to the 1939 Business Coupe pick up belonging to Lloyd Henige. Best of Show Commercial was the red 1953 5 window pick up owned by Chuck Pocock. The Best of Show 8 Cylinder was Ed/Mike Mc Farland's 1957 Bel Air 2 door hardtop. The car has been in the family since new, never restored, had 11,000 miles on it, original tires and certified in HPOCF. The car was still new.

Hi Jim,
Sure nice to see a guy taking pride in the big cars. In some of your posts you've talked about using later model cars to attract new members. I couldn't agree with you more. It seems very unlikely a 40, even 50, year old guy (born in the early 1960's - teenager in the 1970's) is going to get excited about a 1920's car. Maybe once-in-a-while, but certainly not the norm.
Nice cars you have....
Bill.

It was great to see many friends from around the country last week. Made a couple of new friends also. Great cars! Wow, the 65 Vette with under 300 original miles with the sticker still in the window was nice. This was the first time in a long time I recall so many vendors in the Swap Area. Found a few nice things. Thanks to the Glass Capitol Region for a wonderful time.

Thanks,Bill. There was a strong turnout of of '65-'76 big cars. Most I've seen at a meet. I very much appreciate the early Chevys, especially stock examples .That is what attracts me so much to VCCA.That said, would I ever personally own a early Chevy? Most likely not,but I do enjoy them. I also added more pictures from the Central Meet if anyone is interested. The link is in my other post. Jim

Agree VCCAson, Glass Capitol gang did a nice job! I sat with the couple that owns that 65 vette you mentioned at awards banquet.I am under the impression that it has 300 miles on it since it was restored. Jim Downum
