I was there. Typically well planned, well executed, friendly, laid back, fun, Middle West Meet. There were enough things planned to keep you busy but not so much that you were hurried to get them done. The four couples that did the work setting up the event and making it work made it look easy. It was obvious that the Motel wanted us there and they made every effort to make every ones stay enjoyable. They assigned one and two of their Public Relations employees to attend each of the functions so that items needing attention were handled on the spot. First time I ever saw that occur. I had a great time.

I agree with Oldie - it was a very good meet! Click on this link to see some photos (heavily weighted towards the Mile High Region cars) from the car show. http://photoshow.comcast.net/watch/Up4eP2VwChevy50Jim

Jim, Nice pictures from the show!I was also there and agree with the comments about the hotel being very acommadating for the meet. Also,Terry Davis,Fred Reynolds,Trueman Irvin and the rest of the host region did a great job! The only slight disappointment was that there were no certificates,ovals,mini's,etc...handed out at awards banquet.Just the the host region designed awards were given out.But still a great time and everyone was very nice. As mentioned by others, it was a great meet and we enjoyed visiting with old friends and making new ones. Had a great time hanging out with jimpala70 !!! The photos are great that the two Jim's posted.
The attendance was down some for this meet. We judged around 46 cars and they were some excellent cars! We always enjoy attending Middle West Meets.

In the photo show I noticed a picture of a 1954 "Waldorf Nomad." I presume that means the car owner was there. I wonder if that's a hand built car like John Maiuccoro's. Or maybe a 'kit.' Can anyone shed any light on the car?? It sure looks great!!
Thanks for posting the pix, Jim. They look great.
Bill.

Dear 42Bill,
Definitly not a kit! Built from the ground up by Zane Zander. Maybe he or someone who knows him will post details?

Zane is a member of the Packerland Region and lives in Brillion, Wi. There was a little story about the car in "Old Cars" with in the last 2 months. Zane, wo owned a printing business, had printed out aome brochures about the car. The body was actually from a Pontiac Safari and I belive the Pontiac frame was also used. I had seen the car when it was under construction several years back.
