Uncle Ed,

Thanks for your comment, yes the speedster is like driving a big boy go-kart, really fun until you have to brake/stop

I added a couple of pictures, the truck took me a little over 25 years to restore, the speedster took 11 months - amazing how much quicker it is when your kids are out of the house and you have additional $'s to play with.

Oh it also helped having fellow VCCA members that had the items that i needed and they were willing to sell them at very attractive prices.... i can't thank them enough

Amazing work Mike. So exciting to see history restored. Both of those vehicles look like they were well on their way to the trash heap, until someone with a desire met up with them. Great job. Happy New Year!!

jtroberts64, on the speedster it was come and get it or I am hauling it all to the dumps.I saved that car frame and parts. I had over two trucks of trash just to get to the car. I know that I could never make a speedster from a running or complete car, but this was going to the scrap yard any ways so no harm. I restored the running gear as much as possible as a ‘28. Strip down I am pushing 50+ mph, too bad the brakes are only good for below 35…. Guess that is part of the thrill
