Oil Can Mechanic
1947 Chevrolet Fleetline Sportmaster Sedan

Here's a picture of our car, "Oscar" as he's affectionately called. Complete local car off the road from 1973-2010 and brought back to life by the Scott family in 2011. He's been on the road ever since and remains in well-loved original condition.

Great looking car and I like the whitewall discs! Don't see them too often. I've seen ads for a few different styles offered from Chevrolet as accessories

The white discs on that car are not a Chevrolt accessory. The Genuine Chevrolet discs were plastic and
the the hub area was black and the outer three inches white.

You have a beautiful 47 sedan. The entire reason that I became a Chevy guy was that my cousin Denny who lives in my home town has had since 1965 a 1948 4 door sedan. In my high school years we would work on the '48 all week long so that on Friday evenings, we could buzz the local McDonalds and other drive-ins. Alot of street racing was done by my cousin ( not by me, I didn't own a car ). McDonalds in those days had the original Golden Arches that went down to the ground level. Hamburgers and fries were somewhere between 19 cents and 25 cents for those delicious fast food items. Ah, the good old days.

dtm
ps. My family was a Buick / Oldsmobile family.
