Any tips on removing the lock cylinder and the lever.

Can it be done without the key?

I have a spare mechanism that I want to restore.

Sorry mate I can't help you with that one, I would suggest a big hammer BUT...

One day I'll be able to give you some advice on a Chev topic :)

The big hammer, thats a starting point.

Ray you need to drill the pin out and the you have to pic the lock if you have no key. there is other forums on this site do a search and good luck
