Can a back-up light switch be taken apart for inspection and or re-built?(for my 48 fleetline)chef- chevy

Would guess it could be iffy...If its working I wouldn't chance it.When the little crimps are "straightened out" the pot metal may break preventing it from being reassembeled.

Chef, While I was packing some stuff to move I found a complete Chevrolet Back-Up light kit with wire, two round backup lamps (I bought it for a 51 years ago) and a new backup light switch that looks like a 51 stop light switch, I don't know if it is wired the same way (normally on) Anyone know what it may be worth?

Look in your Filling Station catalog.....they sell backup light switches. You can use their price as a guide. laugh laugh
