What year did the factory first supply or authorize a spotlight? What kind was it? I think
it probably was the Unity Sportlite, but not sure.
Is it listed in any of the Service Bulletins?
Thanks, Bob Barkley

1930 was the first year, and it was a Unity light, with "Sportlight" and the Chevrolet emblem on the plate. laugh laugh laugh laugh

Hey, thanks Junkyard Dog. Are you familiar with
a 1930 "Sportlight" (or is it "Sportlite"?)? I
have a Unity spotlight, up in an attic right now, and need to identify it as to which year it is.
From what I remember it does have a Chevrolet Bow
Tie on it. Would any Service Bulletins have a
photo of it? Thanks again, I appreciate any help
on the subject. Bob

Actually, it is spelled "Sportlite", and yes, 1930 is different that some of the other years in that the round ball was a different color than, say, 1932 for example.

The "Sportlite" is featured in the Chevrolet Service News, in some film strips, and in various other pieces of literature, such as accessory catalogs and etc.
