What type of special wrench do you use for the fan belt replacement on corvairs? The bent one and can you get it from NAPA or Sears?

A Corvair with out an air pump ('68-'69 had one) a normal off-set box wrench works fine.If the air pump has not been removed bending the wrench makes it much eaiser.Only necessary to loosen the idler pulley bracket nuts-not remove them.

I had a 60 corvair that frequently removed it's own belt, no outside help needed. Problem was the timing was poor. Normally at night in a storm!

I have had several Corvairs and still own one.Never had a belt problem.Necessary to keep properly adjusted and the Genuine Chevrolet belts performed the best.
