I just got a 72 chev,,On the tailgate is "humphrey",,,,,,,Maybe the previous owner liked Humphrey Bogart,So he called the truck Humphrey???  :confused: :confused:

Back in 1972 Humphrey Chevrolet was the largest Chevrolet dealer in the Milwaukee area.They also had dealerships in several other southern Wisconsin locations.They went out of business in the late 70'S or early 80'S

Chevgene,,The truck probably came from Milwaukee then,,,,,Interesting piece of truck history,,I wonder Does anybody else know where their truck "home" is,,,or where their truck was "born"????

Where I do see the Humphrey name pop up today is on public TV.There some programs that say they are funded by a grant from the such & such Humphrey foundation. It the same Humphrey
