I have a 1941 AK 3100 truck with a 1954 235ci straight six installed. I’m missing the temp guage. Will a new guage and sensor from a 1941-1946 Chevy work in the 1954 motor? Is the sensor the same or will I need a different sensor?
Thanks.

If the capillary bulb fits in the engine it'll work. I don't know if the 41 bulb will fit a 54 235 or not. I think there are adapters available if not.

Agree, just have to try it and see.

Another wild card is the head - it may be a later head on a '54 block, which would require an adapter.

Yes, as long as it is a 1955 or earlier head. If the 1956 and up head a special adaper fitting is available.

The guage sensor fit the 235 motor just fine. Thanks.
