G'Day, I'm trying to definitively determine if the attached image is of a 1929 or 1930 Chevrolet. Any input would be appreciated............Thanks..............Joe..............

I Have a 1929 and 1930, could almost be either, but leaning more towards a 1929. hard thing is it is artwork NOT a photo so leads to the artists interpretation, granted it looks like artwork from an ad. can not see the radiator shield. bumper only has 1 black band where as my 1929 has 2 black bands on each bar.

Thanks much. I have earlier 4 cyl Chevs but never studied the fine points of the 6cyl years. As You might imagine, I tried comparing it to photos of both years, but as You say, the artists interpretation has to be considered. It is from a Canadian calendar which is advertising the 6 cyl, but unfortunately the date pages are MIA....................Joe..................

The 1930 has front shocks 19 inch wheels and the windshield has a slight slant.

The front brakes are internal expanding cable operated. for 1930.
1929 has oval instruments and 1930 round.

The artists rendering of the “A” pillars( windshield posts” looks to be of the 1929 model. 1930s were wider at the base.

The bumper medallions have four points which is 1929
. 1930 has oval shaped medallions that have the bolt heads exposed.

Thanks "CABBOY" and "CHIPPER". Without anything to sway to the alternative, I'm going for 1929. I have another significantly less collectible/desireable 1929 calendar lined up and I am going to raid the calendar pages and move them to this calendar to complete it for framing.
Appreciate everyone taking the time to respond. When I get that far, I will try and post a full calendar shot of the finished product.

Hello Sanderson Joe,
As seeing as the picture is from a calendar and up to the artist's interpretation, I'll guess that it is of a 1929 Chevy for the month of February. Why? Because I'm going by the license plate numbers. What more do I know or can say?

By looking at the front bumper I say it is 1929.
in 29 the 2 cross bars are spaced about a 1/2" apart, and in 30 they where spaced about 1 1/8" apart and had the oval shaped medallions as previously stated
